1. You
decide you want a video produced, and determine what you
can afford to spend (the budget).
2. You produce
a brief that simply states the purpose of the project
and how you envision it.
3. The
producer from the production company liaises with you to
develop the script and storyboard.
4. Casting is
done, sets built (where applicable), and technical and
support staff are briefed.
5. Other
source materials such as photos, illustrations, stock
footage and music are sourced.
6. The
shooting is done on broadcast quality equipment.
7. The footage
is reviewed, and appropriate clips are selected.
8. The post
production process is carried out to produce a rough
cut.
9. Once the
rough cut is approved, further Visual effects,
commentary, sound tracks and so on are added.
10. The final video
is presented in the format/s and media you require,
ready for display or distribution.
